Deck the Halls

Hi there! Christmas is coming and I am getting fat!!

Well I hope you are all well and not stressing too much about the up and coming festive season. In our house we have decided to have a paired down christmas and concentrate on family time together. We are going to do this by using an advent calendar I made when I worked at John Lewis and putting a slip in each pocket with an activity to do together each day. I think this should be fun and take the pressure off me to create the 'perfect' day.

I have been busy creating and will be posting a number of items to buy. Today I am posting home decoration wreaths. These can be custom made to any colour scheme to give as gifts or for seasonal decoration.

Hi there, phew what a holiday, only just back into the swing of things and the kids are back off two days next week!! Oh to be young again!

I have been busy creating little dolls and investigating selling them on my blog via Paypal so they will be for sale on release shortly. Custom orders are welcome for birthday gifts and special occasion presents such as weddings and christenings. Also available as cake decorating toppers.

My eldest DD has taken her fair maiden into show and tell at school today so hopefully she has done a good job selling (I don't know, child labour) the concept. I will be selling at a local crafts fayre soon so am building my stock up. The latest creations are kung foo fighters and I have had a request for an action man!

More photos to come showing the range so far.......

Also just a question about faces - with or without? any preferences? I will try to mock up a face that suits the dolls character and show it so I can get a poll going. LOL!

Take care xxxx

Well I managed to get going with the camera tonight despite two little 'assistants' helping me!
Here is one of the first batch - will post the rest when I can figure out how to make the images smaller - fiddling on photoshop I think.
Just got a custom order for four dolls - hurray!! Thanks other JT x
Off to catch my dreams now. x

Hi All
This is the first blog of many to dust off my skills as a crafty girl!
So far in an attempt to keep us from the black hole resulting from redundancy and all that comes from it.......I set off to try and make some cash by resurrecting my crafting skills that had been abandoned for some reason during my teens. (not trendy enough I think)

Much to the mirth and fascination of my little ones I started to make sock dolls practicing with their baby socks to sell at the school christmas fayre. Out of five finished dolls I sold two so not bad for a first attempt hey!?

Then it was onto thrift- making christmas tree decorations for a rather sorry looking christmas tree kindly lent by my parents. (memories of many happy christmas's decorating the tree were relived) And home made presents for my family including some rather nifty reindeer and a tea cosy snowman from Tone Finnager - I love her stuff - she rocks!

Then I made a knitted bear with some left over wool as a lucky mascot for my hubbies interview - he got the job so Lucky bear has a special place in our hearts LOL!

Now I have fallen in love with making itsy bitsy beautiful dolls and after doing a survey of family and friends have decided to make this into my next adventure.

Thanks Penni (GallimaufryUK) for your fantastic background and header design for this blog.

I will be posting my first batch of dolls next weekend so keep a watch out.
Back to work now,
Luv J x
